QUESTION AND ANSWERS REGARDING HINDU RELIGION

Q- Name Hindu is not original it is the name evolved out of a mistake then why Hindus should be proud of being Hindus?

ANSWER- True name Hindu is not original neither it has any connect to any of the Hindu books. First of all it is the oldest religion and at that time when this religion evolved there was no other religions existent so there was no point in giving any name to the religion so at that it was called as ‘DHARMA’ and in Sanskrit dharma means the followers of the rules and regulations of these books. Slowly as other religions evolved and they were called as “panth” means a religion evolved out of primitive religion. But later in new era they are confusingly called as ‘Dharma’. Now when all the religions are called as dharma in Hindi and Sanskrit so in order to discriminate the oldest and most mature religion the name evolved as Hindu as commonly used by Persians. Secondly the name is not a big thing as we Hindus believe it is a matter of practice and belief. Religion is a way to live and shows the path to reach All mighty (Param Bramha) which is more important then the name of the religion. It is quite similar to our own existence when we are born we do not have any name and we are known by our deeds and an identity is given to our deeds is our name so deeds are more important then our Name. Similarly Hindu beliefs and  practices are more important than its name.

          

Q-‘Sihva’ is worshiped as “Shiv Linga, where linga means penis. That means Hindus worship Penis.

Answer-  No Hindus do not worship penis.  Ling is derived from Sanskrit word Lingum which means symbol, without form and For penis the Sanskrit word is Shishan. And Shiv lingam means the Symbol of god which does not have any shape. Actually shiva is popularly known to be the destroyer but if we understand very carefully as hindu identifies God as the power of universe. Which is existent in universe. Unlike other religion which presume God as someone powerful away from universe but rules the whole system. So shiva is the classification of Pram Bramha which is existent in the Gravitational force and thinking about universe without gravitational force is impossible. And comparison of such a power with genital organ is very cheap. Some people who do not know Dharma can only believe on such a strange translation of Hindu god. Hinduism is a very vast religion and in later ages when some of the scholars may have depicted his confused opinion representing Shiva to genital organ but this was his own opinion not the concept of Hinduism. There are amny other misconceptions created by some scholars in there view of making the understanding of hindu Param Bramha easier and in this process they were so confused that they might have mentioned anything as per there opinion but not the complete Hinduism.
